ABOUT US

SDH Triplicity, formerly known as The Rodfellows from 2014 to 2021 and The Jungle Forest Gang from 2021 to 2023, is a group of anthropomorphic cartoon characters created by Danny Lyons. The group was founded and formed on March 17, 2014, with its original member lineup consisting of Finto Stencon, Samantha Hayla, Willard and James Glover, Finniette Stencon, and Ruthie Reyes.

Over the years, the membership lineup has changed and increased. The group originally disbanded on January 5, 2023 due to several instances of controversies, drama, downfalls, misinformation, lack of motivation and activity, etc. Not long after that, both Lyons and Nichols reunited and the group was revived under the new name of SDH Triplicity.

HISTORY

START OF THE GANG

On March 17, 2014, Dan P. Lyons had the idea for the Rodfellows characters. A short film was released around that period. Beginning on April 9, 2014, and ending on June 18, 2014, was the first series. Subsequently, on September 23, 2015, several iconic episodes of Flash were recreated, implying a possible revival.

IMPROVED ANIMATION

A four-episode, brief series aired in March of 2015. The franchise was dormant until the creation of fresh assets for The Rodfellows Improved, the next series, in July 2015. TRFI ran for three seasons from August 29, 2015 to November 8, 2016. Other copyrighted characters from properties like Sonic the Hedgehog and Looney Tunes were included in TRFI, however they would subsequently be taken out in new iterations.

CHARACTER REDESIGNS

In 2017, the franchise went into dormancy once more, with the departure of Samantha Hayla, Finniette Stencon, and Ruthie Reyes to create space for Hashbrown "HB" Wolfgang, Kody Dendan, and Alice Mousagest. In May 2017, the near-carbon replica of Stitch! The Movie called The Disney Rodfellows Movie was released. Later in the year, the franchise was saved by holiday specials, and in December of that same year, a significant asset revamp was announced. Thanksgiving with the Rodfellows was the final production to make use of the legacy/TRFI assets.

THE RODFELLOWS: BACK AGAIN!

An announcement about the franchise's relaunch was made on Dan P. Lyons' YouTube channel in May 2018. At that point, The Rodfellows: Back Again! was the new moniker for the reboot, and production got underway. Starting with “Finto and the Beanstalk”, Dan took over the character voices, making “Kody’s Canker Sore” the final episode to employ text-to-speech voices.

EXPANSION

It was announced before the end of December 2019 that Samantha Hayla would be joining the group again. The group also presented Akihiro Wantanabe as a new addition. Due to popular demand, original members Ruthie Reyes and Finniette Stencon would subsequently return early the next year.

2020 saw the gang grow even further with the addition of Gideon Fredericks, Mevin Sablich, Joan Griffin, Camden Lorentz, and Napoleon Abbot.

FIRST REBRAND AS JFG

In light of the Rodfellows moniker's controversy for being a ripoff of Mondo Media's Bedfellows, it was announced on May 20, 2021, that the Rodfellows name would be retiring after seven years and rebranding under its alternative name, The Jungle Forest Gang.

Joan Griffin left the group on April 14, 2021 prior to the rebrand. This was because Thunderbird was the one who initially invented the character, and they had lost the rights to utilize her in the media. Maksim "Mac" Smirnov took her position.

Longtime founding member Ruthie Reyes was expelled from the gang on February 26, 2022, for physically intimidating and harassing fellow member H.B. Wolfgang and former TDC member Phillop M.T. Parker IV. The same day, Roxanne "Roxvix'' Brady, a recent addition, took her place after she was detained. On March 4, 2022, Brady released a video in which she exposed Reyes for her acts, which would later be disowned the following year.

Gideon Fredericks and Napoleon Abbott were let go from the gang on December 18, 2022, and were replaced by newcomers Claire Myers and Riccardo Giordano.

BREAKUP & SECOND REBRAND TO SDH

The JFG dissolved on January 5, 2023, due to a number of scandals, dramas, failures, false information, harassment, and a lack of motivation and activity. The Data Crew also dissolved on the same day and was later reorganized by Mirabel Wieland into Universal Artists.

But shortly after, in the same month, longstanding cartoonists Danny Lyons and Darren Nichols got back together after a total of 14 months apart. It was also stated that SDH Triplicity will be the new name for the Jungle Forest Gang.

Prior to the rebrand, it was announced that Mevin Sablich, Maksim Smirnov, and founding member Finniette Stencon were let go as active members as a result of the group cutting its member count from 15 to 12. Finto Stencon, Kody Dendan, and Samantha Hayla would remain as the lead honchos, with Akihiro Wantanabe, Camden Lorentz, Widenar Glover, James Glover, Alice Mousagest, Roxanne Brady, Claire Myers, Riccardo Giordano, and H.B. Wolfgang returning as active members.

However, Gideon Fredericks and Napoleon Abbot, who had previously been active members, were later elevated to the status of supportive members, as were Finniette Stencon, Mevin Sablich, and Maksim Smirnov. After TDC disbanded, Diedre Smirnov joined as a supporting member so she could be with her brother full-time.

On December 1, 2023, the group announced the return of original founding member Ruthie Reyes after it was revealed that she redeemed herself.

On February 11, 2024, during Super Bowl LVIII, the group announced their newest active member, Marianne Moonstone.
